Dr. Robert Steiger is Associate Professor at the Department of Public Finance, University of Innsbruck, Austria. He has extensive experience in climate change adaptation topics related to tourism both in original research and in knowledge transfer (e.g. as coordinating lead author of the Austrian Climate Change Assessment Report 2014 (AAR 2014) and of the Special Report Tourism and Climate Change (SR Tourism). He is Co-Chair of the Climate, Tourism and Recreation Commission of the International Society of Biometeorology. His major research interests are sustainable tourism development in mountain areas, climate change impact assessments and adaptation.
