Former Regional Director for Europe of the International Union for Conservation of Nature in Gland, Switzerland. Member of the World Commission on Protected Areas and the IUCN Commission on Ecosystem Management, Ambassador of the World Bamboo Organisation, and senior advisor to the European Bamboo Programme managed by Dutch company Bamboologic.
Currently supporting SUNx Malta as Registrar of the Climate Friendly Travel registry. European Climate Ambassador and member of the WCPA Taskforce on Protected Areas and Tourism.
