Lucas is Amadeus´ Group Environmental Officer and Head of ESG Reporting. Lucas built the Amadeus´ environmental sustainability strategy from scratch in the early 2010s and has since then played a key role implementing key sustainability initiatives across the company, working with customers and internal teams to foster environmental benefits of Amadeus solutions and with industry stakeholders in joint sustainability efforts. During this time, Amadeus has remained a constituent in principal sustainability indices like DJSI or FTSE4Good.
A Spanish national, his education includes a Master of Science on environmental engineering from Stockholm’s Royal Institute of Technology, with specialization in market- based mechanisms to address climate change, and an economics degree from the Complutense University of Madrid. He has contributed to publications related to resolving disputes and facilitating multilateral cooperation in climate change negotiations.
